Tibetan Community and supportersare joining
Tibetans all over the world to observe 49th day Prayer Vigilfor more than 150
Tibetans who have lost their lives inside
Tibet as aresult of the Chinese Government's violent crackdown against peacefulprotests.
Tibetans consider the 49th day of passing of being to beimportant and observe the day with special prayers for auspicious rebirth.
Also on this day, the
Tibetan community of Minnesota will hold the¡Minnesota
Tibetan Mass Solidarity Head Shave¢ event. About 50 Tibetansand
Tibet supporters have signed up to shave their heads as a mark ofsolidarity for Tibetans in
Tibet who have lost their lives in the recentuprising and to those who continue to experience repression under China.It¢s also to show our respect for all monks and nuns who have ledcountless peaceful campaign against the Chinese rule in Tibet.
The prayer service is to begin at 5:00 pm and the solidarity head shaveevent at 6:00 pm at the
Tibetan Community Cultural Center, 1096 RaymondAve., St. Paul, MN.
